Prof. David Wraith
      Professor David Wraith is a Professor of Immunology and Director of the Institute of Immunology at the University of Birmingham, UK.

      Professor Wraith completed his PhD in Biochemistry at the University of King’s College, London. In 1986 and 1987, he was awarded Medical Research Council and National MS Society Fellowships to work in the laboratory of Hugh McDevitt at Stanford University, California. In 1996, he was appointed Head of the Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the University of Bristol, where he worked for over 20 years.

      Professor Wraith has worked in the field of T cell biology for over 35 years and is best known for his ground-breaking work on autoimmunity and immunotherapy. He is also the founder and CSO of Apitope Ltd., which has successfully completed Phase 2 clinical trials of peptide immunotherapy in MS
